The England footballer David Beckham will soon close its famous academy in southeast London despite opposition from parents of students, who this weekend were against the decision, reports the Evening Standard.
According to the London newspaper, hundreds of people, including the sister of Player of the Galaxy, Lynne, 37, gathered to protest at the gates of the soccer school, located in the town of Greenwich.
The co-owners of the academy, Beckham and AEG, operators of the site, announced last month its intention to close next year, when the lease expires the land.
